1987 – 2006

The first logo of the Colombian air carrier Aerolínea de Antioquia was designed in 1987 and stayed unchanged for almost twenty years. It was quite a simple composition, with the solid yellow roundel on the left, and an underlined lettering on the right. The blue handwritten “ADA” abbreviation was written in all-caps across the yellow medallion, while the black inscription was split into two levels with the thick red horizontal line, which was coming out from the tip of the last “A” in the abbreviation.

2006 – 2019

The redesign of 2006 has dramatically changed the concept of the Aerolínea de Antioquia visual identity. Now the badge was based on a stable enlarged “ADA” set in calm blue capitals of a geometric sans-serif typeface, and horizontally cut by a thin white line. The left part of the logo boasted an elegant graphical image made of three wavy lines — two blue ones, and a yellow in the middle. The right part of the badge was decorated by a solid blue airplane silhouette flying to the right.
